Independence Point

Roadrunner, Fox, and Tortoise

Private luxury casita, new, and custom built, right at Independence Point overlooking Confluence Park (soon to include EV Charging Station!).

The property is right on the peninsula and the overlook at Independence Point. Amazing views and hiking in this serene spot. Close to everything, yet extraordinarily peaceful and quiet at the end of the road. From your window or under the covered patio, you can see the confluence of La Verkin and Ash Creeks as they merge with the Virgin River. A trail down to the river begins just outside your door. Once down to the river, you will find, picnic areas, swimming holes, historic sites, and a desert tortoise rehabilitation area!  This area is also home to a lot of wildlife including endangered species such as the Southwest Willow Flycatcher, Desert Tortoise, and the California Condor.

We have owned this property since January of 2014, and have dreamed of building a house on this spot ever since. Our dream came true in September 2023, finishing our house along with three casitas to share this amazing destination. The casitas, though connected to the house, are designed and built with maximum privacy. Either concrete walls or double 2X6 insulated walls, to help ensure privacy while you enjoy this remarkable location.

Your rental is ideal as a base station…being just minutes from amazing recreation and sightseeing.

  • ~25 minutes from the entrance to Zion National Park
  • ~20 minutes to Sand Hollow State Park
  • ~20 minutes to Qual Creek State Park
  • ~35 minutes to Snow Canyon State Park
  • ~2 hours to Grand Canyon National Park (North Rim)
  • ~2 hours to Bryce Canyon National Park
  • ~2 hours to Lake Powell
  • ~40 minutes to The Utah Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City

Many other Southern Utah destinations are within a short driving distance, including top rated golf courses, Copper Rock, Sand Hollow, and Sky Mountain, all in the Hurricane Valley. The new Black Desert golf course is also minutes away and host of the PGA FedExCup Tour.

The Hurricane Valley is also a mountain biking destination. Trails begin from your doorstep. Within minutes, you can be riding world renowned trails including the Hurricane Rim Loop trail, which is featured as an IMBA Epic ride.  Virgin, Utah (~10 minutes away), is host to the Red Bull Rampage. This year’s event is October 13, 2023 and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

There are many more international events nearby, including the Ironman, with the North American Championship being held May 4, 2024.

The Little Valley Pickleball Complex is a short drive away and a worldclass facility, hosting numerous tournaments throughout the year.

Our home is situated in a quiet, residential neighborhood at the very end of a cul-de-sac. There are no houses to block your view, just protected lands to enjoy beyond. Though only a short walk or drive to the famous River Rock Roasting Company, the views from your rental are much better, with the added tranquility of no road noise or crowds!

There is dedicated off-street parking right outside your door. As you pull in the views open up in front of you! Please note that being at the end of the road on the cliff edge, there is limited room to turn around, so large trucks and those with trailers will need to park on the street.

We have three separate casitas for rent. Each are fully self-contained with private kitchenettes, bathrooms, living areas and covered patios. For larger groups, renting multiple units would be allow for couples to have their own privacy, yet be able to share the patios and outdoor areas.

We do not allow pets in our casitas, as there is no area for them to relieve themselves. In addition, we want to ensure our own health and safety as well as that of our other guests. There are doggy daycare and boarding areas very close by. In addition, Zion National Park and many of the other parks and festivals do not allow pets.

We also do not allow smoking or vaping in our units.
